Everyone has a job to do. That includes law enforcement officers. However, when officers overstep their bounds out of hatred, fear or the sheer rush of adrenaline, the results can be deadly.
Cases involving police shootings, excessive force, and their consequences are many-sided: Join Mr. La Duca as he explores the basics of police misconduct cases, including:
- What is police misconduct;
- Why much of the police misconduct you see in the media does not make it to the courtroom;
- What makes a good police misconduct case;
- Why police misconduct cases are so difficult (high standard, minimal evidence, etc.);
- Tips for paralegals screening and handling police misconduct cases.
Kenneth J. LaDuca is an associate with GLG. Mr. LaDuca is a civil litigator focusing his practice on matters involving serious personal injury, wrongful death, and civil rights violations nationwide in both State and Federal Courts. Mr. LaDuca is known for employing his superior communication, problem-solving, negotiation and research skills on high-level complex cases to obtain the best possible result for clients.
Originally from Syracuse, New York, Mr. LaDuca graduated from American University Washington College of Law in 2013. While in law school, Mr. LaDuca was an articles editor for the American University Business Law Review. Prior to attending law school, Mr. LaDuca earned his B.A. in political science from American University.
